According to the standard, acertain amount of samples combusts for a particular time at hightemperature. The content of halogens in the materials has to be lowerthan 0,5 % or 5 mg/g. As evidence of proper functioning, the bulb lights up. The cableshould remain in function for 180 minutes. In case of interruption or break, the bulb stopslighting.The testing acc. to – DIN VDE 0472 part 814The cable is connected at 400V and exposed to the flame, temp. 800°C. As evidence of properfunctioning, the bulb lights up. The cable should remain in function for 180 minutes. In case ofinterruption or break, the bulb stops lighting.
