ComfoRo ® – the license for
successful spinning mills
The ComfoRo® license, an eagerly utilized opportunity for differentiation
in a keenly contested market environment. A trademark offering advantages
for rotor spinning mills on the yarn market.

Faultless rotor yarn featuring yarn-like piecings in
quality unequaled to date is being produced since
the launch of AEROpiecing® piecing technology on
the R 40 rotor spinning machine. The ComfoRo®
brand has been created for this quality, and Rieter
has had ComfoRo® registered as a trademark for
yarns and textile products.
ComfoRo® marketing started in 2005. Since 2006
ComfoRo® has been marketed together with other
Rieter yarns, such as Com4®, at yarn and fabric
trade shows including Texworld in Paris and Intertex
in Shanghai.
What does the license package include?
This brand strategy has already convinced numerous
customers worldwide, and they have applied to
Rieter for a license to use the ComfoRo® brand. Rieter
grants this license to customers who own machines
with AEROpiecing® technology and are prepared to
meet the market’s high quality expectations.

After signing a license agreement, the customer receives
a “Starter Kit” consisting of:
� ComfoRo® license certificate
� ComfoRo® labels in various sizes
� ComfoRo® memory stick with electronic data of
promotion material
� ComfoRo® posters
List of suppliers of Rieter yarns
Licensees are listed on the Rieter website with logo,
address and hyperlink. All weaving and knitting mills
wishing to process ComfoRo® yarns therefore know
where they can obtain these yarns.
By marketing rotor-spun yarns produced on the
R 40 under the ComfoRo® brand, customers underscore
their own high quality standards. By using
the ComfoRo® license they demonstrate that they
have opted for Rieter’s high quality and technology.
ComfoRo® yarns stand out for their perfect running
properties in knitting and weaving. End products
such as single jersey feature a pleasant hand as well
as low pilling tendency.
Successful licensees in Turkey
Jürgen Seuberling, sales engineer in Turkey, reports
as follows: “More than 100 000 R 40 spinning positions
were installed in Turkey in the boom years. An
impressive number. Our customers are all the more
eager to position themselves vis-à-vis competitors
with the ComfoRo® license. By using the license our
customers can stand out in the marketplace in terms
of quality and technology with ComfoRo® yarns. This
starts as early as sampling yarns with their customers
and yarn traders.”
