Outdoor Reset ControlSummer / Winter Switch at BoilerIf required the CH (Central Heating) system canbe turned off at the boiler, similar to manualsummer / winter switch by press/hold the “+”button while in the “StbY” mode, the displaywill show “cOFF”. Press/hold the “+” button toturn the CH system back on, the display willshow “c” followed by CH set point temperature(Parameter 4) or CH target temperature.WARNINGIf a parameter setting is changed but theSTORE button is not pressed to save thesetting, the MCBA will automaticallystore the setting after 20 minutes. Ensureall parameters are at their factory settingsor appropriately revised for theapplication prior to commissioning theboiler. Failure to comply could result inerratic or unreliable operation of the<strong>Prestige</strong> boiler.NOTICEOnce a parameter setting has beenrevised and stored pressing the STEPbutton will display the setting of the nextparameter without showing P_XX. Toavoid confusion, it is advisable to continuepressing the STEP button untilParameter 46 is reached. The next pressof the STEP button will cause the displayto roll over to Parameter 1. Continuepressing the STEP button until the nextparameter to be adjusted is reached andrevise the setting.CH Maximum Boiler Operating Setpoint(Parameter 4)If an outdoor temperature sensor is not connectedto the boiler, the boiler setpoint for aheating call will be set to the CH MaximumBoiler Operating Setpoint. If an outdoor temperaturesensor is connected, the CHMaximum Boiler Operating Setpoint becomesthe boiler setpoint on the CH Reset CurveColdest Day. The outdoor temperature can bemonitored on the boiler display via item 4 ofthe INFO menu.CH Minimum Boiler Operating Setpoint(Parameter 10)This parameter is not applicable if an outdoorsensor is not connected to the boiler. When anoutdoor temperature sensor is connected, theCH Minimum Boiler Operating Setpointbecomes the boiler setpoint on the CH ResetCurve Warmest Day.CH Reset Curve Coldest Day(Parameter 11)Adjusting Outdoor Reset CurveParameters 4, 10, 11, & 12 define the settingsof the outdoor reset curve. See Graph 1 andTable 3, page 53 for an example of modifyingthe outdoor reset curve.This parameter is not applicable if an outdoorsensor is not connected to the boiler. When anoutdoor temperature sensor is connected, theCH Reset Curve Coldest Day is the coldestdesign temperature of the heating system.51
