<strong>STP</strong> <strong>10</strong>-<strong>92A34</strong>-<strong>SM</strong>-<strong>TG</strong>Coordinate Logistical Requirements<strong>10</strong>1-92A-4216Conditions: Assigned as a Materiel Management Supervisor in a Sustainment Brigade/Brigade SupportBattalion (BSB) Support Operation (SPO); given the requirement to Coordinate Logistical Requirements.Using the logistics requirement status received via automated systems (such as the St<strong>and</strong>ard Army RetailSupply System (SARSS), Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE), St<strong>and</strong>ard Army MaintenanceSystem-Enhanced (SAMS-E), <strong>and</strong> Battle Comm<strong>and</strong> Sustainment Support System (BCS3)). With theintent of synchronizing <strong>and</strong> optimizing, the elements of the distribution system to feasible distributionsupport solutions.St<strong>and</strong>ards: Coordinated logistical requirements using distribution management principles <strong>and</strong> guidelinessupported by automation enablers in accordance with FM 4-93.52 <strong>and</strong> FM 4-93.4.Performance StepsNOTE: The Distribution Management Center (DMC) is a coordinator of plans rather than a producer ofplans. The DMC may ultimately publish the Army's distribution plan; however, it does so only afterassimilating the content for that plan from the Movement Control Agency (MCA) <strong>and</strong> the MaterielManagement Center (MMC).1. Receive logistical requirement from supporting units. (Reference: FM 4-93.52, Chapters 4 <strong>and</strong> 5)a. Analyze data <strong>and</strong> reports.(1) Determine efficiency of operations.(2) Determine conformance to st<strong>and</strong>ards.(3) Identify trends.b. Consolidate logistics requirements data <strong>and</strong> reports.c. Determine the support requirement.(1) Class I requirement.(2) Class II <strong>and</strong> Class IV requirements.(3) Class III package <strong>and</strong> bulk requirements.(4) Class IX requirement.d. Coordinate distribution times <strong>and</strong> locations for sustainment operations.e. Coordinate sufficient manpower <strong>and</strong> materiel h<strong>and</strong>ing equipment at each Class IV <strong>and</strong> Class Vpoint.2. Coordinate resupply of commodities. (Reference: FM 4-93.52, Chapter 4)a. Coordinate Host Nation Support (HNS).b. Coordinate retrograde, redirection, frustrated cargo, <strong>and</strong> redistribution of commodities.c. Coordinate pre-planned <strong>and</strong> configured push packages with the Distribution ManagementCenter (DMC) <strong>and</strong> Materiel Management Center (MMC).d. Coordinate with Supply Support Activity (SSA) to receive configured loads, store configuredloads, <strong>and</strong> requirements to reconfigure loads.3. Arrange movement of commodities. (Reference: FM 4-93.4, Chapters 4 <strong>and</strong> 5)a. Establish theater-specific, time-definite delivery schedules.b. Ensure effective cross-leveling of supplies <strong>and</strong> efficient retrograde <strong>and</strong> redeployment ofequipment <strong>and</strong> supplies.c. Identify capacity problem areas in the distribution pipeline.d. Take corrective action to alleviate capacity problems within the distribution system.(1) Identify alternate route(s).(2) Identify transportation shortages.(3) Identify receiving/shipping backlog.(4) Identify maintenance problems.(5) Identify personnel shortages.3-48 7 May 2008
