302 BSL PRO ManualShowSelecting Show from the Display menu generates a submenu that allows you to control a number of datadisplay options and what additional information is displayed in the graph window. To enable an option, selectit from the submenu; a bullet (•) or checkmark appears next to the menu item when it is enabled. The threedisplay modes and the two plotting modes are mutually exclusive, but the remaining items can be enabledindependently.Show Option Shortcut ExplanationChannelnumbersWhen the Channel numbers option is selected, the channel boxes appear just aboveand below the graph area.Channel boxes with Channel 1 selectedThese boxes are useful for selecting channels and “hiding” channels by positioningthe cursor over the channel box, holding the ALT key on the Windows or theOption key on the Mac, and clicking the mouse button.AnnotationsToggle show/hide of text annotations.Chart Activates the Chart display mode (see page 31).Dot plotDot sizeDot Plot allows you to view data in a “dot” format. The software will create userdefined, discrete points that map out the selected waveform. This is often useful fordemonstrating the concept of discrete digital sampling by dividing the waveform upinto data points or “dots.”Dot size is enabled after Dot Plot is selected.Dot size specifies how large each dot will be. Each dotis measured by the number of monitor pixels itoccupies.EventsEnables Event display. See page 183 for Events.Focus AreasEnables Focus Area display. See page 42 for Focus Areas.GridSuperimposes a Grid on the graph window (see page 45). To change grid precision, use the axis scaling dialog of the horizontal or vertical axis.Grid Options Activates the Grid Options dialog (see page 73 )HardwareShow/Hide Hardware “Connected to:” dialog in the graph display; includes networkaccess.Journal Activates the Journal (see page 46).Last dot onlyLine plotRight-clickmenuPlots only the most recently acquired data point. This is most useful when viewingdata as it is being collected and when this data is displayed in X/Y mode.Connects each sample point with a line to create the waveform. Waveforms that aredisplayed in line plot mode match a true analog plot (as closely as possible). This isthe default display mode for most waveforms, except histogram plots, which aredisplayed in Step Plot mode (see 262). You can change line options by clicking theright mouse button, which will generate a menu displaying several commonly usedVisit the online support center at www.biopac.com
