7Checking the meter7.1 Preparing for a control testFor a control test you need: the meter with inserted test cassette, an unopened applicator of <strong>Accu</strong>-<strong>Chek</strong> Mobile controlsolution; the solution in each applicator is for oneapplication only.A control test in its main steps is the same as a normaltest except that you apply control solution to the testarea instead of blood.Please read the package insert provided with thecontrol solutions.176
Checking the meter 77.2 Performing a control testStart as for a blood glucose test: either open the tipcover or select Test in the Main menu.The following description assumes that you start thetest by opening the tip cover.1 Place your finger on the corrugated area on the tipcover and push in the direction of the arrow as faras it will go.After overcoming a slight resistance, the tip coverclicks into place.Be careful not to touch the tape when doing thisas this could damage it.If the meter was turned off, it now turns on.177
