Please dispose of your used meter, afterremoving the batteries, according to the regulationsapplicable in your country. Also remove the back-upbattery (see next page).For information about correct disposal, please contactyour local council or authority.The meter falls outside the scope of the europeandirective 2002/96/eC (directive on waste electrical andelectronic equipment).iPlease dispose of the batteries in an environmentallyfriendly way such as a collection depot.236
disposing of the meter 17Removing the back‐up batteryApart from the two batteries in the battery compartment,there is also a third battery in the side of thebattery compartment, the back-up battery.you must also remove this battery before disposing ofthe meter.Remove the back-up battery as follows:1 use a small screwdriver or similar implement tobreak out the partition wall in front of the battery.The battery then drops into the battery compartment.2 Turn the meter over so that the back-up batteryfalls out.237
