Introduction to Functional ProgrammingCSCI 2090 1 CreditStudents will learn to use a functionalprogramming language (such as Scheme) asa formal method of creating programs andexpressing program ideas. Recursion willbe presented as an algorithm developmenttechnique. Use of abstraction to hideprogram details and of modularity to managecomplexity of large programs will beemphasized through the course.Independent StudyCSCI 2795 1 - 4 CreditsThis course allows advanced computer sciencestudents to pursue topics of individual interestthat are either outside of the existing CSCIofferings or which go beyond them in depth.Prerequisite: Students must have completed orbe currently completing the core of the CSCIcurriculum as defined by the core of the AS inComputer Science.
