The medical assistant performsclinical, laboratory and administrative skills in clinics, doctor offices,and other health care agencies. The clinical externship is under thedirect supervision of a physician, and is a 300 hour unpaid experience.Graduates of the Medical Assistant program are eligible to take theCertification Exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants(AAMA).
