An inter-position intercom shall be provided that allows selective calling between allpositions within a dispatch center. The intercom shall include provision to interconnect o<strong>the</strong>rfuture remote locations on <strong>the</strong> Workstation LAN.G. Each radio control position shall provide <strong>the</strong> following functions or displays as a minimumrequirement:1. A 24-hour digital clock2. A digital or analog VU meter3. Separate select, unselect and monitor speakers and volume controls4. An electronic transmit interlock so that no more than one dispatcher can simultaneouslytransmit on a channel5. Automatic muting between headsets having <strong>the</strong> same channel selected6. Upon depressing any PTT, <strong>the</strong> transmitted telephone audio shall be muted not less than60 dB.7. Display icons or screen depictions to indicate PTT, COS/Busy, Enable/Disable, and allo<strong>the</strong>r utility functions8. An output to record headset audio (transit and receive) of each position9. Selectable muting or reduction in volume levels of select, unselect and monitor speakersduring a PTT10. “Select”, “Unselect” and monitor controls <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> selection or de-selection of audiochannels11. “Instant Transmit” control providing instant push-to-talk capability <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> selected,unselected and monitor audio channel12. “Volume Control” indicator <strong>for</strong> each audio channel13. “Selected Site” indicator <strong>for</strong> each audio channel will display <strong>the</strong> site selection of inboundaudio traffic.14. “Mute” control to mute any channelH. A "simul-select" or “all-call” function shall be provided to enable a dispatcher tosimultaneously transmit on any combination of channels. The all-call initiator's PTT shalloverride all o<strong>the</strong>r radio control PTTs.I. A “patching” function shall be provided to enable a dispatcher to patch any combination ofchannels. A "macro" function shall allow <strong>the</strong> selection of preset choices through a singleicon. Patches between radio channels or talkgroups shall not employ VOX circuits to activatePTTs. PTTs shall be driven from <strong>the</strong> opposing channel’s COS signal, or o<strong>the</strong>r fast-switchingcircuit(s).
