Trunk mounted transceiver housings shall be equipped with a base plate. The base plate shallallow <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> removal of <strong>the</strong> transceiver from its mounted location <strong>for</strong> replacement orservicing. Removal of <strong>the</strong> transceiver from <strong>the</strong> base plate shall not expose its internalcircuitry.D. The physical operating requirements <strong>for</strong> mobile radios are:1. The radio and associated hardware shall meet specifications under ambient conditions of-30° to +60° C, and 5% to 90% relative humidity.2. The equipment shall meet or exceed all <strong>the</strong> requirements of MIL-STD 810C, D and Estandards <strong>for</strong> shock, vibration, salt, fog, dust and rain.3. Cable connectors shall be securely attached to <strong>the</strong> mobile via hermetically sealedconnectors.4. Fuses or circuit breakers installed in vehicles shall be easy to reach, labeled "<strong>RADIO</strong>",and have <strong>the</strong> proper replacement fuse amperage identified.5. One spare fuse <strong>for</strong> each mobile installation shall be provided.6.
