EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENTMARILAN LOGANVICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF ACCOUNTING OFFICERMarilan Logan is in her 12th yearwith the Houston Texans and servesas the franchise’s Vice Presidentand Chief Accounting Offi cer, managing all aspects offi nancial matters for the Texans and Lone Start Sports &Entertainment organizations. Logan joined the Texansas the team’s controller in February 2000 and was promotedto vice president and controller in April 2007 beforeassuming her current position in September 2011.Logan came to the Texans after serving as controller/treasurer for the Houston Aeros Hockey Club, AerodromesIce Rinks, and the Houston Aeros Foundationfor two seasons.Prior to joining the Houston Aeros, Logan was the controllerfor the Houston Oilers (now Tennessee Titans)from 1978-97. Her responsibilities included accountingfor player contracts, maintaining the club’s fi nancialrecords and aiding club management with specialprojects. Prior to the Oilers, she was a cost accountingspecialist for Reed Tool Company.Marilan and her husband, Rick, have a daughter, Sandy;two sons, Jeff and Roy; and two grandsons, Kyleand Todd. The couple resides in Humble.CHRIS OLSENVICE PRESIDENT, FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATIONChris Olsen is in his sixth seasonwith the Texans and third as theteam’s vice president of footballadministration. Olsen’s primary responsibility with theTexans is to work closely with General Manager and ExecutiveVice President Rick Smith on negotiating playercontracts and managing the salary cap.Prior to joining the Texans’ staff, Olsen spent 13 yearsworking at the National Football League offi ce in NewYork. Olsen served as the manager of labor operationswith the NFL Management Council from 1999-2006.He was responsible for reviewing and analyzing playercontracts to ensure teams were in compliance with theCollective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and salary cap,and also provided assistance to club executives pertainingto player-related areas of the CBA. He also servedas a League liaison to the NFL Players Associationregarding player contract matters, as a national gamerepresentative and as an instant replay communicator.Olsen began his tenure with the NFL in 1994 as ananalyst in the player personnel department. He was promotedto coordinator in 1998 and became responsiblefor all facets of the player petition process on specialeligibility for the NFL Draft (underclassman prospects),including coordinating player evaluations for the CollegeAdvisory Committee. He produced annual reportsfor the Competition Committee and reviewed playercontracts to ensure their compliance with the NFL’sConstitution and By-Laws.Olsen began working in professional sports duringhis senior year in college with the Springfi eld IndiansHockey Club of the AHL in 1989-90, where he servedas a public relations/marketing intern. After spending abrief time working for Ark-Asset Management Company,a fi nancial services fi rm in New York City, he continuedhis sports career in 1992 while in graduate school byserving as a public relations/marketing intern for theHartford Whalers of the NHL. Prior to joining the NFL,he worked for the New Jersey State Golf Association.Olsen is a native of Little Silver, N.J. Inhis current position as vice president of fi nance, Watsonis involved in all aspects of the team’s debt and equityfi nancing activities, long-range fi nancial forecasting andspecial project analyses.His other responsibilities include deal sourcing, duediligence and deal structuring for The McNair Groupprivate equity investments.Watson earned his bachelor of arts in political sciencefrom Vanderbilt University and his MBA with a focus onfi nance and entrepreneurship from the University ofTexas.
