Yates to aminor shoulder injury after one series. With JakeDelhomme under center the rest of the way andbackups playing for most of the second half, theTexans narrowly lost to the Titans 23-22 on a failedtwo-point conversion attempt in the fi nal seconds.Delhomme threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to BryantJohnson on third-and-goal with eight secondsremaining. The Texans decided to go for two points,but a false start pushed them back fi ve yards. Theystill went for two, but the shotgun snap went overDelhomme’s head and was recovered by the Titans.Yates was injured on the Texans’ fi rst play of thegame when he was sacked by two Titans players.He fi nished the series, leading the Texans 90 yardsin 13 plays for a 4-yard touchdown run by RB BenTate. Yates went to the locker room after the openingdrive and did not return to the game. Watt – against Bengalsrookie QB Andy Dalton. Texans RB Arian Fosterran for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries,and WR Andre Johnson had a 40-yard touchdowncatch in his long-awaited playoff debut.After falling behind 7-0 midway through the fi rstquarter, the Texans went on a 31-3 run the rest ofthe way. They outrushed the Bengals 188-76 andwon the turnover battle 3-0.The Bengals scored fi rst with a 1-yard touchdownrun by Cedric Benson with 7:34 left in the fi rstquarter. It was set up by a 52-yard pass interferencepenalty on Texans S Glover Quin on a deep passfrom Dalton intended for rookie WR A.J. Green.The Texans responded with a six-play, 80-yarddrive to tie the game. Foster scored on an 8-yardtouchdown run on fi rst-and-goal.The Bengals and Texans traded fi eld goals in thesecond quarter. Texans K Neil Rackers’ 39-yardermade it 10-10 with 1:48 left in the fi rst half. Threeplays later, Watt made the play of the game.
