3.1.2.2 John E. Preston Wellfield<br />

The seven active wells located in the John E. Preston Wellfield were constructed in<br />

1966 and 1972. Each well is 42 inches in diameter, 107 feet deep and have casing<br />

depths <strong>of</strong> 66. The capacity <strong>of</strong> wells No. 1 through No. 6 is 5,000 gallons per minute<br />

(gpm) each and the capacity <strong>of</strong> well No. 7 is 7,000 gpm. The total wellfield capacity is<br />

53.28 mgd.<br />
