Four specimens, Museum of Comparative Zoology no. 94850, fromNew Georgia are referable to this species, originally described from New Ireland inthe Bismarcks. They are light olivaceous to yellowish brown in color, stronglykeeled and somewhat malleated. In addition, there are several fairly well developedspiral riblets which are interspaced with fine microscopic, wavy, spiral threads.L. hargrearesi appears to be a synonym of this species. Both are described asbrownish and as having a keel on the body whorl. They agree as well in practicallyall other descriptive points.Specimens examined.
