This species is exceedingly close to Crystal/opsis conica Gude fromSan ~ristobal. It differs from C. conica by having the brown coloration limited to thelip and not extending along the carina as it does in this latter species. In addition,the spiral incised lines are exceedingly fine on rennellensis while on C. conica, theyare visible to the unaided eye.Notes. The brilliant green colour of the live animal was visible through thetransparent shell. The species was found exclusively on leaves of coconut palms(WOLFF).
