Tools9.1 DatabrowserURL: http://www.jetools.com/products/databrowserPurpose: Java based cross-database, cross-platform data access tool.Instructions:• Copy the 04-Tools/Databrowser/databrowser.jar file to the preferred installation directory(hereafter referenced as DATABROWSER_HOME).• For PostgreSQL database support, copy the postgresql-8.0-311.jdbc3.jar andpg74.213.jdbc3.jar files from the 02-Database\PostgreSQL\JDBC directory to theDATABROWSER_HOME directory.• For Oracle database support, copy the ojdbc14.jar file from the 02-Database\Oracle\JDBCdirectory to the DATABROWSER_HOME directory.• Start the databrowser from a shell with the java –jar databrowser.jar command (or in Windows bydoubleclicking the databrowser.jar file).• Choose Edit -> Edit Preferences... from the menu and select the Driver Manager tab.Choose Add, open the postgresql-8.0-311.jdbc3.jar or the pg74.213.jdbc3.jar(depending on the installed PostreSQL version), open the ojdbc14.jar file for Oracle databaseconnections. Click apply.• To connect to a PostgreSQL database, choose Database -> New Connection -> PostgreSQL7.0+ from the menu and enter the database connection data (server ip/dns, port number, databasename, username and password).• To connect to an Oracle database, choose Database -> New Connection -> Oracle (thinconnector) from the menu and enter the database connection data (server ip/dns, SID, port number,username, password and schema in the Advanced window).
