As a Priest, He was togive mercy (without an inheritance) and, also, a King(with an inheritance). What a conundrum. Christ hadtwo commissions which are contradictory to eachother. Melchizedek, as an ordained office, seems tobe contradictory, or is it? You are going to prove eachjob as Priest and King are accomplished differently.Jesus as a Priest, had to come first to give forgivenessand mercy as a human, “For all those things hasmine hand made and all those things have been, saidthe Lord; but to this man [Jesus] will I look, even tohim that is poor and of a contrite [forgiving] spirit andtrembles at my word” (Isaiah 66:2).What you have read in Hebrews, pictures Jesus perfectly.The prophecy by Isaiah describes The Messiahrelating to the return of your Savior like a woman inlabor of childbirth (Isaiah 66). This is, scripturally,very compelling.
