What preexistedJohn was “the word,” which was of the gloryof God. What is the glory of God? Here is the Biblicalanswer, “And he said [Moses], I beseech you, showme your glory. And he said [God], I will make all mygoodness pass before you [Moses] and I will proclaimthe name [authority] of the Lord before you and willbe gracious and will show mercy on whom I will showmercy” (Exodus 33:18-19).“The word,” which became Christ in the flesh (a human),was God Almighty which was the glory of Godand all His goodness.
