64 THE END IS THE BEGINNINGtime could not have started before the fourth day. Itwas when God made the other stars (galaxies) andplanets. So, before the fourth day – time was measuredfrom darkness (space) to the beginning of light.On earth, God made two great lights to separate thenight and day. God saw when He said, “let there belight and it was good.” You could not see in darkness,so when you could see in the light, naturally, was verygood (Genesis 1:3-4 and 1:14-19).Over and over, when teaching the people as a whole– His followers and The Disciples, Jesus said, “if youhave eyes to see and ears to hear then you will understand.”He concludes, “You are the light of the world.A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither domen light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on acandlestick [menorah]; and it gives light to all that arein the house. Let your light so shine before men, thatthey may see your good works and glorify your Fatherwhich is in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16).What are the good works? He just completed TheBeatitudes in Matthew 5:1-12. He listed all the rewardswhich will be given to everyone. This is not areligious teaching, as much as an educational teaching.That is why He called His followers “Disciples.”These individuals were willing “to learn.” “Doctrine”was not “primary,” but concentrated on good works soyou could be rewarded after your resurrection.GOD’S SABBATH REST“There remains therefore a rest to the people of God”
