Chapter 11GOD IS ALL IN ALLIn the beginning, only, God existed andthere was nothing else. There wasn’t anyspace. God had created space and called it“darkness.” The most ancient civilizationknown as The Sumerians called “darkness”– “the god demiurge.” “Demi” is “small”and “urge” is “gravity.” They rationalizedsince this “god” (although a man-made “god”to them) came from The Almighty Godalmost anything was considered “divine.”Why did God make space full of darkness?LIGHT IS GOODWhen God created the earth it was without form (landmass)and chaotic. How did it become chaotic? Darknesswas upon the face of the deep. The entire earthwas covered with water and since God first createdspace in darkness, there was no atmosphere on mostof these planets. God, as yet, did not make a canopyof protection around the earth. The canopy did notoccur until the second day. The evening and morningon earth became the first day (Genesis 1:2, 5, and 8).These were not twenty-four-hour days – as “a day” isknown today.
