This package is expected to include (subject to definition):The RailIndustry /Developers /LTP / MajorScheme (DfT) /Worcester CityCouncilWorcester Foregate Street Station is currentlythe busiest station in Worcestershire (1.5millionpassengers per annum - 22% of Worcestershire'srail users). Unfortunately, the station is currentlyin a poor state of repair and is not compatiblewith its important role as a gateway to WorcesterCity. This proposed scheme would significantlyimprove the passenger facilities and informationat Foregate Street Station and the quality of theinterchange with other transport modes. Thiswould enable it to better fulfil its role asWorcester's principal railway station.MEDIUMLOWRiskassociatedwithfunding,costs andplanningissues.SHORTDevelopers /The RailIndustry /Major Scheme(DfT) /Worcester CityCouncilWorcester Shrub Hill is currently underused,however, it has significant potential to perform astronger role as a major transport interchange forWorcester, improving accessibility andattractiveness to business and visitors andencouraging economic growth. This proposedscheme would improve the quality ofinfrastructure and facilities at Worcester ShrubHill Station, to enable it to perform a strongerrole as a major transport interchange inWorcester.MEDIUMLOWRiskassociatedwithfunding,costs andplanningissues.SHORT
