The cost of this scheme isuncertain, although it is likely to be in excess of£20 million, as the scheme would requiresignificant earthworks and the installation of abridge over the Cotswold Line railway.Worcestershire County Council will considerthis scheme if a suitable business case can bejustified and significant private sector funding isprovided.This proposed scheme would involve thedevelopment of a walking and cycling linkbetween Upton-upon-Severn and Tewkesbury,making use of the former rail line alignment. Thescheme would involve the provision of a newwalking and cycling bridge over the River Severnto the south of Upton.
