This ambitious project underlined the “Anything isPossible” attitude of the Ocean Park team.As we push on with our MRP, we will ensure that all our plans are conducted withfinancial rigour and scrutiny, while maintaining the balance between the needs ofour guests and the redevelopment. We call this “the business behind the fun.” Forexample, we addressed guest requests for more air-conditioned indoor sit-downdining areas in the Lowland with the opening of Panda Café. These include water conservingauto faucets and flushing systems, energy efficient lighting and layout, as wellas standards-compliant baby-care rooms. All existing restrooms in the Park willbe renovated in phases to this new benchmark.Another exciting project was the renewal of our Guest Relations Centre at theHeadland. Here, pleasing and relaxing hues were used to bring out the open andwelcoming ambience that greets guests when they visit.The Ocean Park website is a crucial interface with our guests and potentialguests, and in April, we launched the new look website with user-friendlynavigation set against bright and cheerful backgrounds.To pave the way for the future communication needs of Ocean Park uponcompletion of the MRP, work has already started to bring state-of-the-art IP(Internet Protocol) telephony to all existing facilities and back offices, and theinfrastructure for the coming new products and attractions is being planned. Forexample, we are working on a new super data centre that will have eco-friendlyfeatures. This data centre will also support new POS and admission technologiesthat will be introduced to complement the MRP.我 們 陸 續 翻 新 公 園 內 的 洗 手 間 , 引 入 既 方 便 又 環 保 的 設計 和 設 備 , 包 括 具 有 節 水 功 能 的 自 動 感 應 洗 手 及 沖 水 設施 、 使 用 節 能 燈 泡 及 高 效 率 的 照 明 , 以 及 設 置 符 合 指 引的 嬰 兒 護 理 間 等 。 日 後 公 園 所 有 的 洗 手 間 翻 新 工 程 將 按照 上 述 的 新 標 準 進 行 。另 一 項 大 型 翻 新 工 程 為 位 於 山 上 區 的 遊 客 服 務 處 。 經新 裝 飾 後 的 服 務 處 以 柔 和 的 色 調 , 為 遊 人 帶 來 賓 至 如 歸的 感 覺 。互 聯 網 是 海 洋 公 園 及 我 們 的 支 持 者 的 重 要 橋 樑 。 有 見 於此 , 我 們 在 四 月 推 出 經 重 新 整 理 及 全 新 設 計 的 網 站 , 除了 加 入 鮮 明 的 背 景 圖 案 外 , 也 強 化 了 瀏 覽 體 驗 , 給 予 瀏覽 人 士 一 個 方 便 易 用 的 版 面 設 計 。為 了 迎 接 全 新 發 展 計 劃 為 日 後 通 訊 帶 來 的 需 求 , 海 洋 公園 已 著 手 在 所 有 設 施 和 後 勤 辦 公 室 , 以 及 未 來 新 設 施和 景 點 引 入 先 進 的 IP( 互 聯 網 通 訊 協 定 ) 電 話 網 絡 。 而 我們 正 在 興 建 的 高 端 科 技 數 據 中 心 將 引 入 環 保 設 計 , 當此 中 心 落 成 後 , 將 支 援 公 園 售 票 系 統 和 各 零 售 點 的 電 腦系 統 等 的 重 要 環 節 , 以 配 合 全 新 發 展 計 劃 完 成 後 的 相關 需 要 。
