TAXONOMIC NOTES. C. tigripes shows a marked variation through
its range in Angola. Howewer, the comparison of our material, both of
adults and larvae, with the series in the British Museum (Nat. Hist.)
confirmed the infrasubspecific nature of this variation.
DISTRIBUTION. As it can be seen on Map 4, C. tigripes is a fairly
generalized species also in Angola.
BIOEOOLOGICAL NOTES. Larval tigripes was recorded from 104
different breeding places, 64 (61.5 per cent) of which were ground water,
28 (27 per cent) were artificial containers and 12 (11,5 per cent) were
