<strong>and</strong> a Tee connector for the splices. If you<br />
connect these as shown in Fig. 2. you will<br />
have your signal aimed in the direction<br />
sho wn. But if you take the RG58jU matching<br />
section out. <strong>and</strong> connect it exactly the<br />
same way. only on the other side of the Tee<br />
connector, you will reverse the direction of<br />
your signal. If you leave out the RG58jU<br />
matching section altogether. you will end up<br />
with a figure eight type bidirectional pattern<br />
that is perpendicular to the tw o previous<br />
patterns.<br />
In conclusion, if you try this antenna, I'm<br />
sure that you'll work a lot of DX. The<br />
.antenna is efficient <strong>and</strong> works well, <strong>and</strong> will<br />
help you to get the edge on the other<br />
statio ns. If anyone has any problems with<br />

FCC ACTS TO REVOKE AMATEUR<br />
LICENSES ON OBSCENITY CHARGES<br />
The Federal Communications Communications<br />
Commission took action today to revoke<br />
the operator licenses o f three Amateur<br />
Rad io Service operators on charges of obscene,<br />
indecent or pro fane radio communications.<br />
The Commission ordered Steven P.<br />
Bo wman, of Sikeston, Mo.; Kenneth C. Henry<br />
of Anderson,lnc., <strong>and</strong> Gary Overma n, of New<br />
Castle, Ind .. to show cause wh y their licenses<br />
should not be revoked . The three operator<br />
licenses were also ordered to be suspended.<br />
In addit ion to the obscenity charges, other<br />
violati ons included transm ission of false or<br />
deceptive signals or communications, failure<br />
to identify stat ions properly, transmission of<br />
unidentified communication s or signals <strong>and</strong><br />
willful or malicious inte<strong>rf</strong>erence to radio co m<br />
munications of other amate ur stations.<br />
The Commission said that the three amateur<br />
licensees had repeatedly <strong>and</strong> will fully<br />
violated the Rules. The enforcement actions<br />
followed investigations carried out by the<br />
FCC Field Engineering Bureau <strong>and</strong> the FBI<br />
after complaints were received from ot her<br />
amateur radio operators.<br />
