coaxial plugs, a double female connector.
and a Tee connector for the splices. If you
connect these as shown in Fig. 2. you will
have your signal aimed in the direction
sho wn. But if you take the RG58jU matching
section out. and connect it exactly the
same way. only on the other side of the Tee
connector, you will reverse the direction of
your signal. If you leave out the RG58jU
matching section altogether. you will end up
with a figure eight type bidirectional pattern
that is perpendicular to the tw o previous
patterns.
In conclusion, if you try this antenna, I'm
sure that you'll work a lot of DX. The
.antenna is efficient and works well, and will
help you to get the edge on the other
statio ns. If anyone has any problems with

FCC ACTS TO REVOKE AMATEUR
LICENSES ON OBSCENITY CHARGES
The Federal Communications Communications
Commission took action today to revoke
the operator licenses o f three Amateur
Rad io Service operators on charges of obscene,
indecent or pro fane radio communications.
The Commission ordered Steven P.
Bo wman, of Sikeston, Mo.; Kenneth C. Henry
of Anderson,lnc., and Gary Overma n, of New
Castle, Ind .. to show cause wh y their licenses
should not be revoked . The three operator
licenses were also ordered to be suspended.
In addit ion to the obscenity charges, other
violati ons included transm ission of false or
deceptive signals or communications, failure
to identify stat ions properly, transmission of
unidentified communication s or signals and
willful or malicious interference to radio co m­
munications of other amate ur stations.
The Commission said that the three amateur
licensees had repeatedly and will fully
violated the Rules. The enforcement actions
followed investigations carried out by the
FCC Field Engineering Bureau and the FBI
after complaints were received from ot her
amateur radio operators.

Services Bureau .
