VNIIGIS SPE JSC started as the Volga-Urals
Branch of the All-Union R&D
Institute of Geophysics in 1956. It was
reorganized into the All-Union R&D Institute
of Well Logging in 1972, and into
VNIIGIS SPE JSC in 1995.
The VNIIGIS of today is one of Russia’s
leading research and manufacturing
centers developing specialized and
unique techniques and technologies for
geophysical surveys of oil, gas, ore and
coal wells. VNIIGIS-developed projects
are well known not only in Russia and
the CIS countries, but also in China, Germany,
and Angola.
The Company’s principal spheres of
business include designing and manufacturing
surface and downhole tools and
equipment for logging oil, gas, ore and coal
wells; performing field geophysical surveys,
and oilfield geophysical well survey jobs.
