A small artel named Oboznik
was established in Iglino in the 1930s.
It changed its name to Metallist during
WWII and used to produce various
cast-iron items. It was reorganized into
a foundry and mechanical plant in 1957.
July 1960 marked launching a shop to
assemble beam scales. The plant acquired
its present name, Iglino Weighscales
Plant, in August 1961.
Over a half a century of its development
the scales assembly factory has
turned into a complete manufacturing
cycle facility that embraces stamping,
founding, machining, coating, assembling
and adjusting, and delivering products
to customers using the company's
fleet of vehicles. Over 2 million mechanical
and electronic scales have been produced,
the product range now reaching
50 varieties.
The Plant has emerged as one of the
best companies of the Republic of Bashkortostan
in the recent years, winning
numerous diplomas and medals from
international specialized exhibitions.
Iglino-made scales are delivered to
customers in Russia and in the CIS countries
– Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan,
and Kyrgyzstan. The Plant’s
professionals offer repair and maintenance
services to users of scales, including
the equipment fabricated by other
manufacturers.
