The basic fi elds of activities of the Institute embrace research, development and design works in petroleum refi ning and petrochemical industry: • Complex schemes of petroleum and gas condensates processing • Pretreatment of oil for transporting and processing • Pretreatment and effi cient use of casing-head petroleum gas • Rectifi cation of crude oils and gas condensates and their fractions • Small-scale complexes of petroleum processing • Catalytic processes of ecologically friendly automobile fuels production • Processing of petroleum residues: • Delayed coking, visbreaking, thermal cracking • Elaboration of bitumen, bitumen emulsions, mastics production processes • Deasphalting and demetallization • Production of petroleum pitches and caking additives • Calcining and desulfurization of petroleum coke • Production of oils and lubricants • Processing of hydrogen sulfi de into elemental sulfur • Treatment of gases and oils from sulfur compounds • Water supply, removal and waste water and gas effluents treatment • Oil sludge processing and utilization • Designing of burial grounds for industrial waste products and solidstate household wastes • Atomation of technological processes.
47 Chemical and Petrochemical Industry Produce: • Technological regulations for design of new production units and revamp of existing ones, basic and contractor designs, complex engineering. • Petrochemical products: corrosion inhibitors, cooling liquids (TOSOL), roofi ng and insulating mastics, road bitumen adhesion additives, lubricating additives to drilling solutions, EC-1 grade epoxy compound for cold solidifying.
