說 , 對 自 己 要 有 原 則 , 該 做 的 就 做 ,
不 該 做 的 絕 對 不 做 , 但 是 對 人 , 要 有
方 法 , 不 能 過 於 苛 責 、 嚴 厲 , 讓 人 顔
面 盡 失 。
To get along in the world, one has to
be "all-rounded on the outside and
square on the inside." This means for
one to square up to oneself according
to principles, doing what should be
done and never doing what should not
be done. And yet one has to be tactful
towards other people, never be harsh or
severe because we have to maintain their
self-respect.
336) 佛 經 上 說 : 「 苦 海 茫 茫 , 回 頭 是
岸 」。 世 人 汲 汲 營 營 地 於 名 利 權 情 中
追 逐 , 為 達 目 的 , 不 擇 手 段 , 造 作 了
許 多 的 罪 業 ; 不 知 道 、 也 不 相 信 世 間
的 一 切 現 象 都 不 離 「 因 果 」 的 法 則 ,
因 而 造 業 受 報 , 痛 苦 不 堪 。 如 果 , 相
信 「 因 果 報 應 , 如 影 隨 形 , 絲 毫 不
爽 」, 而 能 及 時 回 頭 , 就 不 會 有 苦 的
報 應 。
The Sutra says, "The bitter sea of our
life has no boundary. Repent and the
shore is at hand." People of the world
busy themselves in the pursuit of fame,
profits, power and love, thereby making
mistakes and bringing afflictions onto
themselves. Since they do not know or
believe that all phenomena cannot escape
the karmic law of cause and effect, they
are suffering misery as retribution of
