Sehr geehrte Fluggäste, Dear Passengers
Herzlich willkommen an Bord von
Austrian Airlines und zu dieser
Ausgabe von skylines.

Unser weltweites Netzwerk wächst! 2015
stand ganz im Zeichen des Streckenausbaus
mit insgesamt acht zusätzlichen Flugzielen.
Neu in Europa sind Odessa in der Ukraine, Mahón
auf Menorca als weitere attraktive saisonale
Sommerdestination auf den Balearen, Manchester
als Wirtschaftsstandort in Großbritannien und
die Küstenstadt Bari im süditalienischen Apulien.
Zusätzlich haben wir erst kürzlich drei touristische
Fernziele eröffnet, die für eine Urlaubsreise gerade
jetzt im Winter besonders interessant sind: Miami,
Colombo und Mauritius. Seit November geht es
außerdem einmal wöchentlich direkt von Wien nach
Marrakesch in Marokko. Gemeinsam mit unseren
Partner Airlines der Lufthansa Group bieten wir
Ihnen somit in diesem Winter eines der dichtesten
Streckennetze weltweit über die Drehkreuze Wien,
Frankfurt, München, Zürich und Brüssel, aber auch
auf vielen Punkt-zu-Punkt-Strecken, mit mehr als
20.380 wöchentlichen Flügen. Darüber hinaus
ergänzen über 18.000 Codeshare-Flüge mit
rund 30 Partner Airlines das Flugangebot.
Auch im kommenden Jahr wollen wir Sie mit
unserem Service begeistern und investieren daher
laufend in Produktverbesserungen, um Ihnen ein
noch angenehmeres Reiseerlebnis zu bieten –
beispielsweise mit einem erhöhten Komfort in
der Business Class auf Kontinentalflügen oder
einem neuen Flottenmitglied in Form des
Embraer 195 Jets, der schrittweise unsere
Fokker Flugzeuge ablösen wird.

Our global network keeps growing: in 2015,
we have focused on expanding our routes
by opening eight new destinations. In
Europe, we have taken on Odessa in Ukraine; we
have added another attractive seasonal summer
destination in the Balearic Islands, the Menorcan
capital of Mahón; we now fly to the British
business location of Manchester; and we have
announced a new service to the coastal city of
Bari, in Apulia in southern Italy. Only recently we
have also begun operating three long-haul tourist
routes, with the interests of anyone looking for a
great winter holiday in mind – Miami, Colombo and
Mauritius. And since November, we are flying from
Vienna to Marrakesh in Morocco once a week.
Together with our partner airlines in the Lufthansa
Group, we will be offering one of the world’s
widest route networks this winter, with flights via
our Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich and Brussels
hubs and on numerous point-to-point routes. It all
adds up to more than 20,380 flights every week.
This flight product is complemented by another
18,000 code share flights with around 30 partner
airlines.
We also want to inspire you with our service in
the year to come, and will continue to invest in
product improvements to ensure we provide an
ever more enjoyable travel experience. Examples
include greater comfort in Business Class on
continental flights, and a new addition to our
fleet, the Embraer 195 Jet, which will gradually
be replacing our Fokker aircraft.
