The following are not contraindications to immunization:

A reaction to a previous DPT of temperature < 105°F, redness, soreness,
and swelling

A mild, acute illness in an otherwise well child
--
A family history of seizures or sudden infant death syndrome

MMR: Documented egg allergy is not a contraindication.

Yellow fever vaccine: Egg allergy does contraindicate.

Influenza vaccine: Egg allergy is no longer a contraindication. Patients ≥ 6
months with a known egg allergy should receive trivalent inactivated influenza
vaccine (TIV) followed by a 30-minute observation period in a facility
prepared to recognize and treat anaphylaxis. Patients with a history of severe
anaphylaxis to eggs should be referred to an allergy specialist to receive TIV.

MMR does not cause autism or inflammatory bowel disease.

Hepatitis B vaccine does not cause demyelinating neurologic disorders.

Meningococcal vaccination is not related to development of Guillain-Barré.
