stay motivated with
Liberté Fitness
We catch up with the team
at Liberté Fitness to discover
their top tips for keeping
motivated during the winter
months
We don’t like to mention it, but the cold winter mornings and long
dark evenings are soon to be upon us. For some people, this time
of year means cosy nights in front of a roaring fire, but for fitness
fanatics and those looking to keep in shape during the colder
months, it can be a difficult time for motivation. We spoke to the
guys from Liberté Fitness about how they keep motivated.
1. Challenge yourself
Finding a race, sports match or fitness competition to compete in
during the winter months or at the beginning of spring will help to
keep you motivated. At Liberté we often sign up as a team so we’re
even more accountable and have to stay focused.
2. Don’t let people down
One of the best ways to keep on track during the winter is finding
someone to exercise with. If you plan your exercise sessions with
friends, you can’t afford to let them down. At Liberté Fitness, we
always exercise in groups which makes it way more fun. In fact, it’s
often more fun than torture! Once you’ve signed up for a session,
you will not want to let your fellow Libertarians down!
3. Embrace the winter
You may dread the thought of working out in the cold and amongst
the elements, but you’re actually more likely to work harder in
the winter to battle the cold and complete the session as soon as
possible! If you’ve been stuck in an office all day, one of our classes
is the perfect way to get a bit of fresh air and ensure you get a good
night’s sleep.
4. Enjoy the reward
If you do brave the rain, the wind and even the snow, then you’ve
thoroughly deserved a treat! On a Saturday morning (post-training
of course!) we often enjoy a social brunch together. It’s a nice little
reward after working our hardest and really pushing ourselves to the
limit.
