“I am addicted to
manicures and pedicures
and there’s a running joke
among friends and family that I actually
check into a hotel’s spa rather than their
room first! It’s true for I always head to a
hotel’s spa almost as soon as I check in.
Despite having seen the most luxurious
spas all over the world, my most
favourite place to rejuvenate is the
Oberoi Rajvilas Spa in Jaipur. It’s a piece
of heaven on earth! This place is
absolutely connected to the roots and
down-to-earth and yet, so decadent. I
have experienced most of their relaxing
massages and even complex,
specifically-targeted, herbal oil-andpaste
therapies to feel pampered and
refreshed. They have been gracious
enough to customise treatments for me. I
am particularly fond of their Maharani
Ritual Spa – the massage alone lasts for
about an hour and I doze off within the
first ten minutes. I also love their lemonand-yoghurt
body massage.”

“I have a spa fetish to the extent that I
am always clued in on most new
treatments that are being spoken
about. So much so, on checking into any place I
haven’t been to before, I first check out their spa to
figure out how good the place must be. I am open to
trying out varied therapies, and the moment I come
to know about a new indulgence introduced by any
spa, I am usually the first to try it out. My friends
are forever asking me for recommendations – I am
that up-to-speed with what is new and good in spa
treatments. I love the deep and intense massage at
Four Seasons’ Spa in Provence and Banyan Tree in
Phuket. I have tried out honey scrub, massage and
fruit facial at the Marriott in Pune, and I often go
there to relax over the weekend.”
