Jungle Hut lies near the Mudumalai Wildlife<br />
Sanctuary at the foothills of the Nilgiri mountain<br />

RED HILL, TAMIL NADU<br />
This century-old heritage bungalow is set at an altitude of 7,000<br />
feet on the edge of the Silent Valley and the National Thar Reserve<br />
overlooking Emerald Lake in Ooty in Tamil Nadu. Red Hill is part<br />
of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and famous for its lush green<br />
forests. A bird watcher's paradise, more than 60 species can be<br />
spotted here. The bungalow offers nine spacious rooms with<br />
colonial-style architecture including a fireplace and attached<br />
bathroom. Each room comes with a view of the hills or the lake<br />
which is mesmerising. Go trekking, hiking, cycling, take a jeep<br />
safari through the jungles, explore the plantations in the region…<br />
