How SpiceJet celebrated Independence Day
As a gesture of gratitude all passengers flying with SpiceJet under the fare of Indian Armed Forces on 15th
August were offered a meal and beverage at no added cost. The personnel were also entitled for a free
upgrade to SpiceMax. Adding further to the Independence Day spirit, all SpiceJet flight seats, except SpiceMax,
adorned tri-colour headrests. The airline also placed the tri-colour on the bulk heads of its Boeing 737 aircraft
and at the entrance of its Q-400. Water cups with Independence Day artwork were used to serve beverages
onboard. The cabin crew flaunted a special dress code with men in their weekend uniforms and a flag pinned on
their left collar, while women will wore an orange kurti and jeans with a tri-colour band on one of their arms. The
ground staff and inflight base officials were dressed in ethnic attire with flags pinned on. The pilots had the flag
pinned on their ties. Celebrations were carried out across all airports.
