Bin Feng was born in 1989. He is original from Shanghai, China and got his bachelor degree
of Photography in Shanghai Institute of Visual Art in 2012. At the same year, he started the MFA
program of Photography in Savannah College of Art and Design. Being a photographer, he also
made video installations, sculptures and paintings. When he was in college back home, he
ran a studio doing commercial works. After he held an exhibition called “Escape Plan” in the
“Top-Low” Events, he decided to go abroad and study fine art. Because he struggles with the
language, sometimes he gets lost when people joke around him in the United States. However,
being an outsider there, he prefers to go back to the simple visual contact. As a fan of collage,
he is dedicated to acting in the gap between the cultural differences.
