its experience
A high level conference on security will take place in Zurich from November 13 to
16, 2007: «Sicherheit 2007». Roger Herzig, Director of RWD Schlatter AG, will
present a paper on the topic of «Security in door engineering» on Wednesday,
RWD Schlatter: successful
burglary protection
RWD Schlatter AG has passed the burglary protection tests on a two-leaf
door at ift in Rosenheim (D) the first time around. In the past RWD Schlatter
was able to provide single-leaf doors in the burglary protection sector in resistance
classes 1 to 4 in accordance with ENV 1627-1630. For the first time a two-leaf
door of resistance class 3 was required in a building. In this case the main problem
is of course the middle section. The key data for the tested doors are: resistance
class 3 in accordance with ENV 1627; two-leaf; internal size 2,300 x 2,300 mm.
Quality assurance by external checks
Experience shows that the manufacture of security doors requires a particularly
high accuracy finish. To ensure this requirement is met, RWD Schlatter has introduced
external production monitoring. ift Rosenheim undertakes regular checks
in the factory. This action entitles the business to use the ift seal. As a result RWD
Schlatter is also included on the list of manufacturers maintained by the crime
prevention authorities in Bavaria – and it is the only company that can provide
two-leaf wooden doors in this high resistance class. «
the areas threat situation, security planning and
technology, emergency management, crisis
management and risk management, fire protec-
tion, the human factor in the security concept
as well as IT security as part of information
Doors from RWD Schlatter carry the
Swiss label. This label is reserved for
products that have been either manufactured
entirely in Switzerland or that
have been extensively processed or
finished in Switzerland. Without any
hint of phoney patriotism, the company
is proud that almost all doors leaving
the factory are also manufactured internally.
For the customers, this situation
means above all else that they can
count on a high degree of flexibility,
speed and customer proximity. Often
these aspects are more important in
the general hectic of complex building
projects than a low price. «
