Major project in Barcelona
with Forster unico
Welcome success for Forster: around 2,000 window elements with a new profile
shape from the Forster unico profile system are being installed in the «Mediacomplex»
in Barcelona; the profile shape was developed especially for this major project.
The 60,000 m 2 Media Park Barcelona was designed to promote
research and development in the audio-visual sector.
The Catalonian government wants to establish a leading
position on the international market with this project. Various
well-known companies are also establishing their headquarters
on the site beside the technical university. Up to now
more than 80 million euro have been invested in this park.
A special Forster profile developed for
«Mediacomplex»
The «Mediacomplex» tower designed by the architects
Patrick Genard and Carlos Ferrater is being built in the middle
of the Media Park. The building stands right beside the famous
AGBAR tower designed by the star architect Jean Nouvel. All
window elements on the exterior facade of the «Mediacomplex»
have been manufactured using the new thermally insulated
Forster unico system. A special profile was developed
specifically for this project, more than 13,000 m of the profile
were produced and in the meantime have already been delivered.
For Forster the «Mediacomplex» is a further milestone
in opening up the Spanish market. « The «Mediacomplex» in Barcelona is equipped
with special Forster profiles.
