<strong>B2C</strong> e-<strong>commerce</strong> turnover<br />
In the category of <strong>B2C</strong> e-<strong>commerce</strong> sales, China and<br />
the United States are clearly at the top. In 2015, the<br />
Chinese in total spent $766.5bn online, while the<br />
American <strong>B2C</strong> e-<strong>commerce</strong> turnover amounted to<br />
$595.1bn. The UK ($174.2bn), Japan ($114.4bn) and<br />
France ($71.9bn) completed the top 5.<br />
In comparison with last year, China’s <strong>B2C</strong> e-<br />
<strong>commerce</strong> market grew significantly faster than the<br />
one of the US. Compared to 2014, Chinese <strong>B2C</strong> e-<br />
<strong>commerce</strong> sales grew by 33%, while in the US it<br />
grew by 12%.<br />
For <strong>2016</strong> as well, the Chinese e-<strong>commerce</strong> market is<br />
expected to increase much faster than the American<br />
one (27% vs. 9%). As a result, it will continue to<br />
increase its lead even further.<br />
