PARKOUR/FREERUNNING (UNIT 1)<br />

PARKOUR/FREERUNNING (UNIT 2)<br />

ACHIEVING AWARD (Participating) - Accomplished<br />

successfully, especially by means of exertion, skill and<br />

practice of Parkour/Freerunning.<br />

Through practical instruction the participant<br />

will learn and develop basic skills fundamental to<br />

the art of Parkour/Freerunning. The participant will<br />

learn and practise their skills in a supervised and<br />

controlled environment.<br />

UNIT 1 - MIN 3 SESSIONS UNIT 2 - MIN 6 SESSIONS<br />

Must be delivered by:<br />

- Parkour UK 1st4sport Level 1 Award (under the<br />

supervention of a Level 2) and/or Level 2 Certificate in<br />

Coaching Parkour/Freerunning (QCF) qualified coach<br />

(under the supervention of a Level 2) or<br />

- Parkour UK 1st4sport Introductory and/or<br />

Intermediate Award in Teaching parkour/Freerunning<br />

qualified Teacher (QTS) qualified Teacher.<br />

1 AWARD FOR ACTIVATORS<br />

[PARKOUR/FREERUNNING] (RQF)<br />

The objective of the Parkour UK 1st4sport Level<br />

1 Award for Activators [Parkour/Freerunning] is<br />

designed to provide benefit to learners on the basis<br />

that it prepares them for deployment as an activator in<br />

Parkour/Freerunning.<br />

Successful achievement of the qualification will<br />

enable activators to organise and facilitate Parkour/<br />

Freerunning activities. It does not provide competence<br />

to coach, teach or instruct Parkour/Freerunning<br />

activities. The qualification is designed to support<br />

community development, with the aspiration to be able<br />

to tackle deprivation, radicalisation, physical inactivity<br />

and social exclusion; supporting health, wellbeing and<br />

participation initiatives.<br />
