COURSE<br />
Competition Organisers are<br />
the people that organise local<br />
tennis competitions and will<br />
be involved before, during<br />
and after the competition.<br />
3 HOUR COURSE<br />
This course is 3 hours long<br />
and at the end of the session<br />
you will be prepared to<br />
confidently deliver your first<br />
competition and assist a<br />
club, coach or committee in<br />
planning competitions.<br />
- Courses are run locally<br />
through each region by an<br />
LTA approved tutor.<br />
- Upon completion, you can<br />
progress to the 2 day Referee<br />
Course (ages 16+)<br />
COSTING<br />
The course costs £25 and<br />
you will be given a toolkit<br />
to help you start running<br />

COURSE<br />
There are two types of tennis<br />
Umpires within the sport,<br />
both Line Umpires and<br />
Chair Umpires.<br />
A Line Umpire is responsible<br />
for calling the lines on the<br />
tennis court and the Chair<br />
Umpire is responsible for<br />
calling the score and settling<br />
any issues. You need to work<br />
your way up to becoming a<br />
Chair Umpire by starting as a<br />
Line Umpire and progressing<br />
from there.<br />
1 DAY COURSE<br />
This 1 day course is a<br />
combination of classroom and<br />
on court work and the course<br />
is a pass / fail dependent on<br />
your performance on the day.<br />

UKCC LEVEL 1 AWARD<br />
IN COACHING TENNIS<br />
The level 1 coaching assistant course<br />
is the starting point for people who<br />
want to get into tennis coaching and<br />
become a coaching assistant.<br />
3 DAY COURSE<br />
The level 1 course is a 3 day course<br />
with a minimum of three hours’<br />
experience assisting an LTA licensed<br />
coach during the 3-6 week break.<br />
Candidates will need to submit a<br />
completed Level 1 Portfolio. The<br />
course will train people to:<br />
• Plan and deliver a structured<br />
lesson under the guidance of an<br />
accredited coach.<br />
• Have basic knowledge of tactics,<br />
techniques and rules of tennis.<br />
• Have a full understanding of the<br />
structure of Mini Tennis.<br />
