Sentry Doors is a modern
privately owned company based
in Doncaster, South Yorkshire,
with its origins dating back to
1989. The Company has grown
consistently over the years to
become a leading provider of cost
effective, quality assured Internal
& External Secure by Design PAS
24 assembled door sets including
factory glazed timber screens.
Our key personnel have over 100
years of experience within the
door and joinery industry, offering
site surveys, scheduling and
contract management.
As a Company, our mission is to
offer in-depth technical knowledge
and experience in order to deliver
practical & cost effective solutions.
Sentry Doors offer 43 designs
supplied to the UK social and
residential housing markets for
new build, refurbishment & facility
management.
In 2015 we supplied flat entrance
door sets with communal screens
to all floors at 3 tower blocks, 23
storeys high for Norland House
in Hammersmith, London, over a
period of 3 months.
The subject of fire safety within
high rise blocks nationwide has
become a major talking point with
many local councils coming under
scrutiny for outdated and poor
quality fire doors.
None more so than throughout
many of the London Boroughs
where the well documented, fire
related deaths at Lakenhall House
and Marine Tower highlight the
huge importance of a correctly
manufactured and installed Fire
Rated Doorset and the part it plays
in saving lives.
Sentry Doors have worked
closely with a number of the
London Boroughs in addressing
these issues and subsequently
developed & tested a range of
timber door sets which not only
achieve FD30 and Secured by
Design certification, both of which
are Q Mark accredited, but can also
offer additional DDA adaptations
for use in sheltered housing.
As a result, high volumes of this
range of door sets have been
supplied to locations across
London.
Security is also a critical element in
these scenarios especially within
areas of high crime. Due to fear
of break-ins residents have been
found to have fitted additional
locks to entrance and exit doors
& in some cases doors have even
been found chained shut making
escape in the event of a fire
impossible.
This frightening reality of being
trapped several floors up with
your family, unable to escape is
not only shocking but completely
unnecessary as Sentry Doors can
