provide safety to industries

demonstrated.
Whether in the chemical,
pharmaceutical or food
industries, flammable gases
and dust in processing
industries create serious
safety risks for people
and machines. NORD has
been a certified manufacturer

includes ATEX-compliant drive
solutions such as gas explosion
protected motors, gear units
and electronic drive technology
for Zones 1, 2, 21 or 22.
The explosion protection
range features the integration
of external fans, back
stops or brakes (depending
on the zone); on request,
combined dust/gas explosion
protected systems for ambient
temperatures up to plus
60deg C and delivery worldwide

The SK 180 E - NORDAC BASE
in more than 20 languages.
If required, the maintenance
intervals which are determined
for the specific application can
be stamped on the type plates.
With the SK 180 E -
NORDAC BASE, the range
also includes many ATEXcompliant,
decentralised
frequency inverters for various
applications which are not only
economical in operation but
are also available in protection
class IP69K. This ensures
that complete sealing of the
housing is guaranteed, even
for processing applications
which require frequent high
pressure cleaning.
A special focus of the stand
was the range of explosion
protected pump drives.
The fully matched drive
systems, consisting of the gear
unit, motor and frequency
inverter, form master-slave
groups which communicate
intelligently with each other
and therefore take over the
monitoring or control of the
complete pump system.

Data is analysed effectively
Data mining service
is added to range
of pharma offers
Bosch Packaging Technology,
through its subsidiary Hüttlin,
presented its new data mining
service which has been
added to the range of pharma
services for solid dosage forms.
The aim is to evaluate existing
machine data more effectively
so that users can identify and
eliminate root causes.
Thanks to this tool, it is
now possible to examine
large amounts of data for the
smallest effects using statistical
methods. In general, the data
from two production batches
is already sufficient to draw
first conclusions. All it takes
is machine sensors, which
already collect data on almost all
historical machines, as well as
the right tool to disclose the data,
says Dr Marc Michaelis,
an expert from Hüttlin.
