Kern<br />
Michelle Heer<br />
has stepped up<br />
from deputy to<br />
be the new UK<br />
general manager<br />
at Kern as the previous general<br />
manager Pete Jolley reti<strong>res</strong><br />
from the company after 15<br />
years in the role. Responsible<br />
for driving growth across both<br />
Kern mailing and the packaging<br />
equipment business, Heer will<br />
continue to grow the company’s<br />
capabilities in the packaging<br />
and logistics sectors as well as<br />
increasing sales in the mailing<br />
market. She will report to<br />
company owner Uli Kern.<br />

Tom McPhee<br />
has been<br />
appointed to<br />

position<br />
at tna of group technical<br />
support manager, a move said<br />
to reinforce the company’s<br />

service excellence. Based in<br />
the Dallas, US office, he will be<br />
<strong>res</strong>ponsible for co-ordinating<br />
and developing tna’s growing<br />
global technical support teams,<br />
including the expanding aftermarket<br />

industries. He joins Domino<br />
from the German <strong>hi</strong>ghend<br />
domestic appliance<br />
manufacturer Miele, where<br />
he was employed as director<br />

the company. She brings 20<br />
years of experience in sales<br />

see her oversee strategic<br />

Marcel Meyer, ceo and<br />

last 26 years is now going to<br />

directors and strategic tasks<br />
for the company.<br />
Martin Meier, who has been<br />
<strong>with</strong> the company since 1997,<br />
takes over the CEO role,<br />
assuming the day-do-day<br />
management of the worldwide<br />
operating Group.<br />
Sewtec has announced its intention to double turnover to<br />
£32 million in five years as the company initiates a growth plan<br />
following a management buyout last year.<br />
In the first three months of 2018, the company secured<br />
£10 million of orders w<strong>hi</strong>le creating eight new engineering,<br />
manufacturing and sales roles in the process.<br />
“We have had an excellent start to the year and intend to maintain<br />
our momentum,” says Sewtec managing director Mark Cook.<br />
