Public transit in Montréal is served by a
network of buses, subways, and commuter
trains that extend across and off the island.
The subway and bus system are operated by
the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
The STM bus network consists of 197
daytime and 20 nighttime routes. STM bus
routes serve over 1.3 million passengers on
an average weekday. It also provides adapted
transport and wheelchair-accessible buses.
