Plaza de la Liberación (Liberation Square) is
located directly in the heart of the historic
center of Guadalajara, adjacent to the
Metropolitan Cathedral and the Degollado
Theater. The Square, which honors one of
the most significant events in Mexico’s
history, the abolition of slavery, is one of the
most high-profile spaces in the city. The
central location makes this space highlyaccessible
via a range of public
transportation modes.

Americas) is a historic urban square
surrounded by ornate churches and
