It may have rained for the entire week
before, but when the big day arrived,
it was nothing but sunshine and blue
skies for this loved-up couple, perfectly
showcasing the spectacular venue. Called
the “Green Cathedral”, the outdoor location
was surrounded by rich greenery and lush
trees. After marrying under a traditional
chuppah (a nod to groom Michael’s Jewish
heritage), it was on to the lakeside marquee
for a reception filled with laughter, smiles,
an incredible Creole-inspired menu and a
fun rum bar. But it was all the little details
– an Indian prayer read by Anika’s uncle, a
surprise rendition of Unforgettable sung by
the bride and groom, and a stream of high
fives from their loved ones while they were
being held aloft in chairs during the Horah
dance – that really gave this celebration
the extra-special treatment.
