“The detailing
in the bodice of
my dress was
to die for!”
This easygoing couple only had one
request for their wedding day: for it
to be as fun and relaxed as possible.
And judging by the photos, we think
they nailed it! The sentimental touches of
the day really began to sink in when Michelle
walked up the aisle of the same church that
her grandparents were married in 60 years
earlier. After the vows, the newlyweds got
to nip away with their bridal party for a few
casual drinks and a chance to really take in
the moment. Michelle then changed into a
sari so Sri Lankan dancers could introduce
her and groom Chanura as husband and wife
at the reception. With a whiskey bar on hand,
a champagne tower replacing the traditional
cake, a photo booth and a rather decked-out
ladies’ bathroom – complete with makeup,
perfume and accessories – this was a night
the couple and their guests will never forget.
