something borrowed from a close friend.
It gave the dress a demure touch, which
I felt was important for the ceremony.”
JEWELLERY “My ‘something old’ was a
pair of diamond and ruby earrings that
belonged to my grandmother.”
BRIDESMAID DRESSES Forever New

white gave a romantic overall look to
the wedding party. I fell in love with the
neckline and lace detail of the dresses.”
WEDDING PLANNER “As this is my
job, I saw to every last detail and
worked very closely with my florist.”
STATIONERY “I created a watercolour
graphic of two interconnected rings
as the feature of the stationery.”

“All I’d ever imagined was a wedding
which took place among trees full of
lights. This, combined with Sean’s love
of great food and wine, led us to discover
the White House in Hahndorf. Festoon
lighting through the trees was provided
by the venue and looked picture-perfect.”

DECORATIONS “All decorations were
handmade at home, and all 300 brown
beer bottles were collected, cleaned and
wired for hanging by Sean, myself and
some amazing friends. The colour tones
of our decorations tied in so well against
the natural backdrop of the venue.”
CATERING & CAKE The White House.
“This was also organised by the venue. In
place of a wedding cake, we had a cheese
stack, made using smelly cheese, from
Adelaide Central Market (adelaidecentral
market.com.au). Canapé desserts were
served later in the evening to ensure our
guests still enjoyed a sweet treat.”
FAVOURS “Chocolate fudge, a family
favourite, was prepared by my mum and
wrapped with brown paper and twine for
guests to take away at the end.”
